Natural Skin Care - Its Easy and Simple

Drink water and exercise
Drinking a minimum of 6-8 glasses of water and eating raw fruits and vegetables is essential to keep your skin soft and glowing. Exercising your facial muscles and tissues is also important in keeping your skin toned and exhibiting less stress and wrinkle lines.
Cleansing
It is advisable to gently wash your face with a good cleanser using upward, circular strokes twice a day. This is simple but important to achieving healthily skin.
Dry brush cleansing technique
Another method that will help keep your pores clean is to treat your skin to a dry brush technique. Used by professional beauty consultants, dry brushing is a good way to begin your own home facial. You will need a natural fiber brush and most are available commercially with a handle. Start very gently and work your way over your face to remove dead skin cells and other impurities.
Facial scrub
To make your own deep pore cleansing facial scrub blend 1 Tablespoon honey with 1/4 medium cucumber that has been peeled. Mix the ingredients in a blender until it becomes smooth and add a small amount of water if needed. Strain the mixture and remove the vegetable and honey mixture into a small bowl. Add the following mixed meals to the liquid.
1 teaspoon almond meal, 1 teaspoon seed meal, 1 teaspoon ground oatmeal, 1 teaspoon sunflower seed meal, 1 teaspoon wheat germ.
This should form a smooth past for a gentle scrub. Follow up this treatment with a moisturizer.
Toning and ph level
Astringents and toners are designed to remove any left over dirt that the cleansing process has left behind and to help restore your skin to its normal acid pH. The pH of soaps, shampoos and facial astringents refers to the acidity or alkalinity of the product you are using. Toners help to prevent bacteria from penetrating your skin and keep your skin from flaking and becoming dry which occurs when your skin is too alkaline. A person of any skin type should use products with a pH level in the range of 4.5 to 6.
Facial steams
An herbal facial steam is another good way to soften your skin and allow your pores to breath and release toxins. Boil three cups of distilled water and remove it from the heat before adding the following herbs. Add 1 teaspoon Calendula, 1 teaspoon Chamomile, 1 teaspoon Raspberry leaves and 1 teaspoon Peppermint. After the herbs have steeped for about 10 minutes, use a hand-towel to create a tent over your head and shoulders. Close your eyes, breath in deeply and relax. After a facial steam, you could continue your facial with a mask and moisturizer to benefit the most from your treatments.
Cleansing masks
Masks date back to several ancient civilizations. Earlier in history they were made using mud, clay, yeast and natural herbs that were and still are believed to have healing properties. You can make your own cleansing mask by mixing 1 egg white and 1-teaspoon cornstarch. Beat the mixture until it has stiff peaks and smooth it onto your face until it dries. See how your skin feels firm like a mini face-lift.
Moisturizing
Acting as a barrier between your skin and the environment you live in, moisturizers are an important way to hydrate your skin. Moisturizers should be applied to an already moist face and throat in the same upward direction you apply your cleanser. You can make your own Citrus Moisturizer with 1 cup distilled water and 6 teaspoons glycerin stored in a bottle or spritzer. Add 8 drops of Lemon oil and equal parts of Orange Blossom essential oil.
These natural facial techniques can help you take care of your skin for a rewarding complexion.
